Lisa Clague

Lisa is the founding partner of eConscious Consulting.

Lisa started her IT career in 1991 as a Programmer, and quickly moved through the geekrarchy to become a Software Developer and Designer after completing a degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia in 1996. It was her first job out of university, at an innovative start-up called Sausage Software that awakened her to the oncoming brilliance and incredible opportunity of the then newborn World Wide Web or Internet.

It was whilst working for a large financial institution in 2000 that she finally went over to the ‘dark side’ and became a Business Analyst, working on some pretty major financial projects.

After completing an MBA (Master of Business Administration) at Monash University in Melbourne in 2006, with several stints abroad to study in both France and Italy, Lisa joined a small digital services company and saw how the IT industry had become so large it had fragmented into many specialities, including Business Analysis, User Experience and Design (UX), Creative, Development, Software Architecture, Project Management, and all the different language and product specialties. She knew times were a changing, and rapidly.

The first time Lisa ever saw Facebook was in 2007, and she knew then that it was going to change the world. At that time, not many people were of the same thinking.

After Lisa parted ways with the company she had worked with for 5 years, she decided to take a sabbatical and head to Europe to live. After moving to Paris in 2010, learning how to speak enough French to order a beer and a baguette,

The idea for eConscious Consulting was incubated on the beaches and cafes of Byron Bay, and the cafes and bistros of Paris, and was finally born in Byron Bay in November of 2011.

    HI Kirra,
We are holding a conference addressing cyberbullying in Lismore, 14th December, 2012. I would love to speak with you and ask you some questions re: educating community to become ‘cyber-savy’.. I’m sure you have a more apt technical term!
